RuleDesigner was used for the configuration of sliding doors. In the first phase of the guided configuration, the following are set: CRM data, the type of product and the reference market to which the system of rules relating to standard regulations is associated.
Subsequently, the dimensions are set using the standard measures available or by defining non-standard ones. The system also automatically calculates other accessory dimensions useful for the assembly phase.
At the end of the configuration, the configurator generates the 3D geometry, checks the parts that have undergone changes within the starting master model and if there is a similar fee on the PDM system:
-if it exists, it uses it and replaces the part with the correct code;
-if it does not exist, it creates the code from scratch with the respective processing cycles, updates the tables, the bill and synchronizes the data with the PDM and the ERP
In this specific area, all that is needed for production is highlighted, in fact RuleDesigner creates the configuration, the bills with the processes and the DXFs for the numerical control machines.
